Ohio recently updated its school attendance law, affecting schools statewide, with a renewed focus on supporting families and intervening early when attendance concerns arise.

Schools will notify families when a student reaches 5% of missed instructional hours. All absences—excused and unexcused—count toward this total. Our goal is to support families and help identify and address barriers to regular attendance.

Good attendance supports student success, and we're here to help when families face challenges that affect attendance.
